Jazz Guitar and Pedals... do they mix?

I'm currently purchasing a jazz guitar and a jazz amp and was wondering if any pedals are really appropriate for the genre? I don't do fusion and i play blues sometimes. I already have a boss loop, phaser, and wah. Anything else? Super Ocatve?
