Female Seussical roles?

Yes a girl can play JoJo but you have to be short and you have to be able to be mistaken for a 10 to 11 year old boy. If you would like to have a girl part though The Cat in the Hat is the main character and is sometimes played by a girl. Mayzie is a bird and one of the lead roles and is an alto most of the time. Gertrude is also a very big part but you have to be humorous and be able to make an audience laugh. There are also The Bird girls who are like Mayzie's posy and like the cat, narrators and can be ether altos or sopranos. I hope I have helped and good Luck
