Cat and bleeding whisker area?

My cat had a little spot on his face yesterday of blood. I didnt make much of it because it was so tiny. Today I noticed he has two wounds on both sides of his face where is whiskers grow from. It looks like hes bleeding from his whisker pad area? Both sides, same exact spots? He is an indoor cat. I do have another cat he could have fought with but this would be rare. I plan to take him to the vet in the morning but what could it be? Any help, and thank you
